DIY Pallet Planter Easy Raised Garden Bed Project From Repurposed Pallet...

DIY Pallet Project: Easy Raised Garden Bed From Repurposed Pallets [Pallet Raised Bed]. The first thing I did was secure my building supplies by harvesting a pallet. I heavily relied on my chopsaw for this project. I then created two identical (same size} frames from the pallet slats. Once they were done, I stood them uprights so they were positioned parallel to each other. I then ran pallet slats vertically from one frame to the other until I had all four sides covered. I used my craftsman 18Gauage brad nailer extensively for this project as well. Once the sides were complete I trimmed out the top with basically another frame with 45 degree cuts in the corners of the pieces. I then used pre-stain (let dry for 30 minutes or so) and then walnut stained it. Easy and FREE!! Ready to plant some stuff in there now.

DIY Wood Pallet Entry Way Sturdy Sitting Bench From Old Crate Pallet FRE...

Pallet project bench made from a discarded pallet into an upcycled and repurposed useful bench for an entry way (shoe tying bench),  porch bench or even as part of the general furniture population. The request for this came out of the need for a spot to sit down and take off your shoes when you come in the door or put on your shoes before leaving. These custom (every one is almost guaranteed to be different) are a blast to make and the supplies are as free as free gets.

DIY Vintage Looking Coat Rack Repurposed From Old Bed Rails [DIY COAT RACK]

This DIY Vintage Looking Coat Rack Repurposed From Old Bed Rails [DIY COAT RACK] can also easily be done using repurposed pallet wood. I couldn't see tossing perfectly good pieces of thick wood away and had a request for a long coat rack. The timing was perfect. I took the old varnish off the bed rails with a dewalt brand 4" flapper disc and it worked like a charm. Once all the old varnish was removed I cut 45 degree matching bevels in the adjacent ends of the pieces of wood so they would fit together. I then pre-stained the fresh pieces of wood and let dry for about 45 minutes. I then stained them with walnut stain. Once the walnut stain was dry I measured the length of the coat rack and spaced the hangers out accordingly. I used my stud finder to find some the studs to screw into then screwed it to the wall. The customer was very happy with the results. This was a fun little unique project. I always get satisfaction from making stuff out of material that may have otherwise been thrown away.

Assembling and Using New RYOBI 10" Circular Table Saw with Folding Stand...

Unboxing, Assembling and Using this new RYOBI 10 Table Saw with Folding Stand. DIY "How-to" Tutorial Demonstration on power tool purchased from Lowe's.Unboxing, Assembling and Using this new RYOBI 10 Table Saw with Folding Stand. DIY "How-to" Tutorial Demonstration on power tool purchased from Lowe's. Needed a new one of these for my many DIY projects. Got tired of trying to rip boards with my handsaw. This is 100 times better.

Step by step picture gallery with detailed explanations of the assembly of the new saw starting with the unboxing at my website: https://www.diy-technician.com/post/assembling-and-using-new-ryobi-10-circular-table-saw-with-folding-stand-ryobi-table-saw

I actually stopped by harbor freight to see what they had there and also what there prices were. All they had left in the the store was a single table saw and it was some off brand I'd never heard of before  and they wanted too much for what it was (more than what I paid for this saw). So I bumped over to Lowe's, saw this (no pun intended) and bought it. It's working out really well so far and I've used it a ton. I will say, I've tried to see how thick of a piece of wood I can cut with a 10" blade and it will not fully cut through a 4 X 4 treated piece of fence post. It gets close but won't cut all the way though the depth of it in the fully raised position so I'd say you are limited to a thickness of less than 4" but probably not too much over 3 1/4" roughly.

The saw comes with a blade guard that will keep your board from kicking back. It's made of plastic and can seem to be a hinderance when sawing some things but it's actually a nice safety mechanism for this saw. To get started I pulled the parts all out and played them out. There are two sides to the stand that are slightly different from each other. One is made to be the front of the saw. It goes together very nice. The saw comes with a hard plastic board pusher which I use all the time and well as a miter and spanner wrenches for blade change out.

DIY Old Garage Light Fixture Replacement with NEW LED Low Consumption [...

I recommend you hire a certified electrician to do this for you. I  made this video to show you how I did it LED light fixtures save greatly on your power bill as they are highly more efficient. Well worth the money spent to change them out. Not only do they use less power but they are brighter too!!! Old lights can be challenging to take out because you never know what is going to be on the other side or what the wiring configuration is until you take the fixture down and see what goes to where. In this case I there were three wires coming from the new LED light (green, white and black) which is standard for the most part, however, on the house....there was copper (same as green ground), white, black, AND red. Red is for the on/off switch in this case. So Black and Red are the "HOT" wires.

DIY How to Reuse and Recycle Free Nails Pulled from Pallets [FREE PALLET...

Free pallet nails for free pallet projects are a blast. What makes this so good? To me there is satisfaction that comes from making something out of something that would have otherwise gone to the landfill or get wasted. Pallets are a hoot. Also the pallet cut-offs from projects are great for use in wood stoves and especially for backyard bonfires. It takes a little elbow grease to get some of them out and some are easier than others. A good claw hammer works as a nice tool for removing them but many times a nice crow bar or pry bar works the best and can also provide the most leverage. I like to use a combination of the two when harvesting pallets and nails from pallets. Some nails you pull from pallets are actually really nice and stout and just perfect for reuse and repurposing. The upcycling or repurposing of pallet nails takes a little extra time but when you get a decent collection of them and can make a project using those hard earned nails you pulled out, it really makes it that much better. Many times it will add to that popular rustic decorative look that many folks are after. DIY Pallet Project Doorbell Pallet Cover | Cover Exposed Ugly Wires [Fre...

Doorbell cover made from pallet wood covers up exposed doorbell fixture. Made for free! This was definitely a simple custom job that required some special DIY work. The wires are low voltage but just to be safe I lined the inside of the pallet box with flame retardant cement hearty backer. Once the box was fit up I pulled it back down I glued the hearty backer to the inside of the box then screwed a soda pop can tab to the top of the lightweight box in order for it to hook around the top of the fixture. Although not shown in the video, the box got painted the same color as the wall for blending in purposes.
