I show you how I cut these necessary short pieces of concrete paving blocks/retaining wall blocks on my " Slice and Dice: DIY Concrete Paver Retaining Wall Block Hand Cutting Method [Concrete Paver Cutting]" video. The steps I followed are: 1. Measure the distance "gap" needed 2. Score the block at said distance on both sides of the block using a square and chisel 3. Start chipping at the cutting line slowly with the hammer and chisel along scored cut lines 4. When chiseling I made sure not to be aggressive when starting out. 5. Once pieces are cut, clean up the newly cut edge is for fine tuning keeping the face as straight and clean as possible for best fit. This job involved cutting into the dry wall to access the leaky joint and assess potential water damage inside the wall. The best plumber I know did all the work on this while I assisted him. He did a wonderful job protecting the wall and angling the torch so that none of wall got burned. He unseated the old joint, cleaned up the existing pipe with sandpaper, then sweated a new coupling connection on the existing copper pipe successfully on the first attempt. Before performing this work we drained the water heater tank, lifted the relief valve for venting, and turned off the electrical power to it as well at the breaker. What I don't show in this STIHL Pole Saw with HT 105 Motor Operation 16 Foot Extension [Stihl Pole Saw Operating Instructions] video is the fact that when I first got it home, the saw blade end of the thing would not turn. The motor fired up right away but the saw didn't want to engage. I called the shop back where I had just purchased this from and they told me to remove the attachment end (saw blade end) and slide it back on to make sure it was tight. This is exactly what I did and it didn't have any effect, however, the next day I brought it back to the saw shop and they said this is what they did to "fix" it. That being said I have a sneaky suspicion they may have assembled the thing incorrectly from the start but didn't want to disclose that. While frustrated at the time, once I got my brand new saw back again from the saw shop it ran and operated fine and as it should.
