Normally this task takes HOURS when using just gravity. This pump could be used for all sorts of different things. It also comes with an attachment that sucks water off the floor and pumps it out to the location of your choice and only limited by the length of hose you wish to attach to either end. I go through the unboxing and review on it as well as quickly pumping out a water heater in order to perform some plumbing repairs. Great little unit here. The only bad thing I have to say about this is that the little hose that comes with it didn't work for a male water heater fitting b/c the fitting on the pump is male so the hose that we needed should have two female ends on it. That's ok b/c we used a washer hose and it worked like a charm. This little unit could also be used for landscaping water falls or landscaping garden rock waterfalls. This one came with a new impeller replacement kit was well in case it goes bad and you need to change it out.
