Allen and Roth "Welton" Outdoor Wall Lantern Porch Light Installation Tu...

Here's how I installed this new LED Allen and Roth "Welton" Outdoor Wall Lantern Porch Light Installation Tutorial Part #2602001 [LED] model. I unbox and install this new power saving light fixture which also adds an upgraded decorative look. I first located the the breaker for the circuit that I was to be working on and shut off the power. I then verified I shut off the power with my voltage tester (will leave a link below to purchase on on amazon from which I get paid a very miniscule amount from if you purchase) and then unhooked the old light fixture. This one on this particular installation was pretty easy, it was just white to white, black to black and ground to ground. Once hooked up and verified that the wiring is super tight and not coming apart (I tug on it just to make sure), then I fire the power back up. Customer was very happy with this upgrade.

Allen & Roth LED Flush Mount Power Saving Ceiling Light Installation Tut...

In my Allen & Roth LED Flush Mount Power Saving Ceiling Light Installation Tutorial Part # 2592466 I go through the quick and simple step by step process to install this allen and roth led light led flush mount ceiling fixture.

I unbox this so here it is out of the box.  One of the things is the back side of it it's kind of cool comes with these these wire connectors here so makes it easier i haven't i haven't used these ones before but i'm going to give it a shot

ground white and black so this should be an easy easy wiring job here's what it looks like good looking light

right there's step one so we're gonna pull the base away from the outer case of that okay this piece here will pull off of there see it's got these little tabs on that so this black piece just comes off from the assembly here now this piece will twist off this piece twists off of there

i already twisted it that way exposes that and then you can see here you can get it mounted and good there step one is done two

okay select our color temperature that we want i'm gonna go ahead and this is white so you can cut you have all your settings right there all adjustable here

so i'm going to go all the way to cool i'm going to go as bright as we can if we want to knock it down ever we can just go right here and set it there okay step two is done step three i'm gonna go ahead and install our screws and the sides of the the cup there okay we've got our screws installed now it's time to wire it up all right this is pretty cool so it even shows you kind of how to wire it you just stick your other one in there so we already know it's going to go white and white black to black ground to ground but what i didn't know that's a new fixture to me right there connector so that'll be cool this even tells you black to black white to white green to copper bear let's make it pretty stinking nice so as far as these connectors go you can see the strength of it i've just got the ground in there it's holding the whole light up so i don't typically recommend this but i kind of want to test the strength on that so i'll do the same thing with these two wires just pop them right in next to each other just push them in it's pretty good okay there we go got them connected i'm gonna turn the power on make sure it works before i get it secured hey all right works step four is done we got it wired and it works now we're just going to screw this up in there i'm going to twist that onto the screws and then tighten it up so i just left these long you know so they would protrude down from the ceiling so we could just pop them through that hole and then twist it that way now i'll just tighten these up

there's that now we're going to take this piece here see where these little divots are right there that's where they're going to go and slide on they're going to twist it that way it'll stay okay so what i'm doing now with this black thing so this is supposed to go on before you put this whole thing up so i'm actually just taking these tabs so there's two slots right there taking these tabs and just kind of bending them down that way it won't come off come off of there i don't know any other way to do it so i just bent that down not there too now i can just screw the whole thing on so same with this one there's four of them kind of bending the tabs down in there all right let's screw this thing up to the fixture now there we go much better just screws right on threads right on there uh clockwise there it is got her on a dimmer switch

all right thanks for watching you guys

and there's how it looks with a little bit of a softer setting

MACTREM Brand LED Ring Light Kit-Unboxing, Assembly, Use and Review; Par...

MACTREM Brand LED Ring Light Kit-Unboxing, Assembly and Review; Part# M-A001. This light assembly is super easy to put together and use. The light has many different levels of lighting as well as different types of light (i.e. white light, yellow light, etc.). This is all adjusted on a switch adjuster that is very user friendly. Great for pictures and videos. There are actually two assemblies with this kit. One for the light and one for your phone/camera. This kit comes with two versatile tripods so you can adjust both your camera and light at any angel you wish. Using the contents of this hit will fully enhance your filming and photography experience. It plugs into a USB which I demonstrate can be operated off of a lap top or a plug in the wall. This would also be a nice addition for the ladies who are doing their make up.

Project Source Brand Overhead Ceiling Light Fixture Installation-Model#0...

As homeowners and handymen we are always faced with having to do upgrades. It's crucial that us DIY technicians know how to handle these kids of tasks. Whether your a Mr. or Ms. Fix it kind of person, if you don't want to pay someone to do these kinds of DIY home electrical jobs than watch my videos on it. This one was a simple light fixture change out. I want to stress a couple of safety items here. First be sure the power is off. Second, be sure the power is off. Third, don't stand on something unsafe such as a slippery chair or bucket to reach up and perform this task. Get a ladder, get a voltage detector, turn off the breaker, turn off the switch, check for current.

Now open your new Project Source light fixture box and lay out all your new parts in an organized fashion. Unscrew the old mounting bracket. There are times when you don't have to do this when you get lucky and the existing mounting bracket will fit your new installation. After unscrewing then pull your wires down a little, inspect them and make sure they are good to go for your new installation. Next step is to reinstall your new mounting bracket into the recess. The same place from which you pulled the old one out. It's helpful to pre thread your screws into the metal mounting bracket as you will be installing this into the overhead. This goes for the little green ground wire screw as well. Using wire nuts, wire your new fixture to the house wiring accordingly. It's sometimes useful to pre-bend your grounding wire in a "U" shape to facilitate it's wrapping around the green ground screw.

Install your mounting screws and slip the new light fixture on them and then tighten. After securing the base part of the light to the ceiling via the mounting screws, go ahead and install the light bulbs. Now the center threaded rod gets installed. Don't worry about which side of the threaded rod goes in first because it bottoms out in the base, meaning, you can only thread it in so far until it stops. Now install the glass portion of your light and thread on the plastic washer, metal, washer and securing nut. Snug it up with a wrench. Not too tight, just snug. Now you can place your decorative cap and decorative end nut on. Now you're all set.

DIY How to Change Flush Mount Household Overhead Light Bulbs-Quick and E...

In this DIY How to Change Flush Mount Household Overhead Light Bulbs-Quick and Easy Tutorial I demonstrate the procedure for making this happen. This is a beginner "For Dummies" style video, however, I can say that there are many of us who have changed a million light bulbs before who have never done ones like this. This is why I felt somewhat compelled to make a DIY "How to" style video showing this simple light bulb replacement for two different styles of flush mounted light bulbs. Only one of which has a glass cover with metal clips holding it in place in the overhead. What a difference it makes to have some nice bright light back into these bathrooms.

DIY How to Install DEFIANT Brand Bright Outdoor Motion Detector LED Lights

Amazon link: https://amzn.to/2LIfadC

These DEFIANT brand motion security lights are incredibly easy to install. They were around $50 each at Home Depot. They really made this install very simple and they are soooo bright that it hurts your eyes to look at them. I was very pleased with the ease of installation as well as results and functionality of them serving their purpose well. Be sure to turn off the power to the circuit before working on any of this. A voltage tester is always a good thing to have around. Reminder to check the batteries and on/off function of your voltage tester before using. After you get your old outdoor light off the wall and unwired, you'll need to also remove the threaded piece of flat bar/sheet metal bracket as the new LED motion sensor light has it's own unique piece with an inset threaded center oriface that needs to be installed. The same original two screws can typically be used if need be. If the old ones are worn than be sure to replace them. A lot of times they make these screws stainless steel whereas a lot of times in the past they were galvanized. Even though they are galvanized they still get corroded and sometimes very bad.

Once you get the bracket and back plastic holder plate installed be sure the wiring is run through hole. Now the next step is the one that I really like. There's only one screw for the ground wire but then there's some set screws for the black and white wires. The kit comes with a little red flathead screwdriver..........check out https://the-avant-garden.blogspot.com for the rest of the details.

Aside from being a semi-serious creative outlet, this DIY Technician Youtube channel serves many purposes. It acts as somewhat of a historical log or portfolio of past work. It also allows me to make a tiny amount of money with both Adsense and Amazon. The tiny Amazon profits come from you clicking through my link provided (such as this one: https://amzn.to/2JZqIqW) and then either ordering the item or ordering another item after clicking the amazon link.

I know the experts recommend staying in a certain niche, and I'd say I do that for the most part, however, I don't like to put self imposed limits on what I post. It stays more interesting for me this way. I take great pleasure in fixing things as well as trying new foods, helping others,  and visiting new places. I really appreciate and enjoy the education that youtube has to offer. It's still amazing to me how you can learn how to do almost anything with just a few clicks and some watch time. Almost all of the videos I post are not just for the purposes of posting videos, they are documentation of activities and fixes I was going to do regardless. So I figured that since I'm performing these tasks anyway, might as well have fun making some videos and maybe make a nickel or two.

This video shows you how to install DEFIANT Brand LED Outdoor Motion Detector lights purchased at Home Depot. This is the easiest installation I've ever done due to the easy configuration of these lights. I am not getting any kickbacks from plugging these lights but come on.....so easy to install. Main thing is to turn off your power so you don't shock the shit out of yourself. The rest is damn easy once you watch my how to for dummies video. I appreciate all your views and welcome any positive comments.
