This video provides Step by step instructions on how I made a DIY Pallet Shoe Rack that lasted for years for FREE!

After hand selecting which pallet I wanted to use I gathered up the necessary few tools I thought I would need. I didn't want the shoe rack to be too high so I but the pallet right in half with my hand saw. I also needed it to be limited to a certain width based on where I wanted to install it so I cut 1/3 of it off, widthwise with a skilsaw. Although I switched to a power tool here, you could do it all with a handsaw.

I then took my crowbar and hammer and removed the lower board. This gives me a top row for shoes and then a bottom row as well. I blew it all down with my air compressor to remove the saw dust.I then secured it to the wall with a couple of screws. Quick, easy, and free shoe rack organizer. You can paint it or have one of you kids paint it too for for an added custom touch.

DIY Kwikset Door Handle and Dead Bolt Installation

In this "How To" DIY Kwikset Door Handle and Dead Bolt Installation, I take you step by step through the installation process after I replaced my front house door to an upgraded model.

 This was a first of it's kind for me as the handle was a little bit different style than what I'd done before. It'd still turned out though.

The first thing you'll want to do is remove all your parts from the package then lay them out on a table or the floor next to your door.

Take the door knob insert and test fit it into it's hole in the door and make sure you know which way it's supposed to face depending on which way the door swings and closes. In this demo I did a test run on how the handle mechanism operates outside of the door prior to installing just so I understood and could see what was going on with the thing. I put the insert and the large handle portion in the door loosely. The smaller handle portion needs some assembly.

Now loosely assemble the rest of the parts in the door as shown. Tighten the smaller door handle first via the Allen head set screw. Now go ahead and tighten everything down.

DIY How to Fix a Gas Stove Burner That's Not Working-Simple Fix Using Ju...

If all of your other gas burners are working but one isn't,  it's likely that you have a cleanliness issue in the bottom gas inlet beneath the burner's metal parts on the stovetop itself. It's a very simple fix once you know how to do it. This is a common problem with gas stove burners. If you have a small paperclip handy, this will work just fine. Better yet, if you have a set of torch tip cleaners, even better. If you don't have any, you should buy some. I've provided the link below for a set of these and they are perfect to keep around for when this happens to you. They are so cheap there's no excuse for not owning some, especially when it means not being able to cook.

Before working on this or any other gas system make sure you turn off the gas, even for a little fix like this because you will be somewhat up close and personal to where the gas exits into the "bowl" portion of the burner located beneath the special metal parts. After turning off the gas you can now start removing the components that make up the burner portion. Most of them just kind of sit on top of each other. Once you have removed all the burner parts and set them off to the side you can now take your cleaner from your set of tip cleaners or your small paperclip and ream out the gas oriface in the center at the bottom. Be sure to get a tip cleaner or paper clip that fits just snug as you don't want to force it in there or wind up breaking it off while a portion of it is stuck inside the oriface (then it will never work). Now reassemble the metal parts that make up the burner. Turn the gas back on and light the burner. If it doesn't work at first try the process one more time. If it still doesn't work after that you likely have another issue that is causing the problem and call a professional.

DIY Homemade Fishing Gummy Luers-Melt and Mold Kit by FusionX

Demonstration on how to make your own homemade fishing gummy worms right in your kitchen. This kit was made by fusionX fishing lures. The plastic stuff is called plastisol which is a thermoplastic resin used for making soft plastic fishing lures. It can be remelted and poured numerous times with no negative impacts to material properties. It has a melting point of between 320 degrees F and 350 degrees F. It's quite prone and sensitive to overheating and will scorch causing it to turn brownish and then be deemed unusable. Remember these completed lures on not edible. Upon heating the plastisol will begin to turn clear and gel, and then become thin similar to the consistency of syrup. IF the liquid plastisol is not heated to a hot enough temperature and past the gel stage it will stay soft and gummy will not setup properly. Be sure to follow all of the safety precautions such as gloves, safety glasses, apron, long pants, long sleeve shirt, fave shield protective shoes etc.

The plastisol can be melted over a stove however this can quickly lead to overheating.



Molds should be kept dry and clean. You can clean the molds with warm water and mild detergent if needed.

Whats Inside Portable Battery Jump Starter Compressor (4 in 1)-CENTECH B...

This CENTECH brand portable battery jump starter never did work. It was given to me by a friend who said he wasn't sure if it worked or not. Well, it did not work so I figured I tear it down, take it apart and see what this thing is made of to see what's inside. There really weren't any valuable recyclable materials in here to speak of. I'm sure if you really really took some time. and removed the insulation from some of the wiring or melted some other pieces down you could possible get some redeeming value out of it. There was a small battery inside this unit that could possibly be of some value. It's interesting when you take some of these things apart how much they can fit into one small unit. Very impressive except for the fact that it didn't hold up over time. Regardless, I figured I'd somewhat repurpose this thing before I threw it away by using it as a learning tool for disassembly. One thing I have a habit of saving is some of the fasteners such as the small screws as well as some its and bolts. These have come in handy over the years.

DIY Overhead Ceiling Electrical Light Fixture Removal

The first step in this DIY Overhead Ceiling Electrical Light fixture Removal Jon s to turn off the power. You'll want to do this first so you don't shock yourself. The next step is to unscrew the glass fixture cover by unthreading the center holding nut that holds the glass cover in place. Be careful as sometimes this could cause the glass to come down on you or drop on the floor depending on who installed it. Then unscrew the lightbulb. At this point you can unthread the center piece if need be, not required though.

The next step is to get your cordless drill and unscrew or loosed the two screws hold this into place. These are attached to the light fixture electrical box itself. Now give the fixture a little twist and it should come loose. If it's been up there a long time, expect some insulation, dust, and debris to come out so try not to get this on your face or into your eyes. Before touching any wire, I recommend doing a second check to make sure there is no current going through the wires. I always take three precautions when doing this kind of work. I shut the power off at the breaker, shut the power off at the switch, then finally use my voltage tester to make sure I don't get shocked. Once you've confirmed no current flowing through the wires you are about to touch, go ahead and untapped and unthread the existing house wire to remove this old fixture.

This is just a demonstration on a DIY Coffee Can Toilet Paper Alcohol Light/Stove. I do not recommend you try this yourself. This is done with three simple parts. The coffee can, the alcohol, and a toilet paper roll. Extreme burns can result if you are not careful so again, don't try this yourself. The toilet paper roll is inserted into the coffee can and then a little bit of alcohol is dumped in over the toilet paper roll. Following this, the toilet paper is lit creating a nice flame. This is only done outdoors and not to be performed indoors.

Welding Project: Metal Art Wiener dog

I had some extra horseshoes, some chain, and some extra scrap metal from an old trampoline that got thrown in the fire. The old trampoline frame was made out of hollow tube which I cleaned up and pounded the ends down to resemble the back. Before tack welding any of the parts together I cleaned them up down to clean metal. I had on old framing hammer head laying around and some washers for eyes so I welded them together too. I had some brown spray paint laying around so I hit the newly made metal art sculpture dog with a couple coats of it. This was a fun project and was able to give it to my nice neighbors at the time as a gift. They had a dog of similar size and stature.

What’s Inside? Phillips Brand CD Player AM/FM Radio-Take Apart

Found this old non-working Phillips Brand Compact Disc Player AM/FM Radio and decided to make a video showing what's inside it. They are relatively simple when you tear into them. I just used. small Phillips screwdriver for the most part. This CD player was electric but battery powered as well. This was mostly compiled of circuit boards on the inside held together by small Phillips head screws. The speakers were pulled out, the antenna screwed off, all the wiring could mostly be unplugged from the curcuit board. There wasn't a heck of a lot that could be salvaged from this but it was fun to take apart and see how hard the disassemble would be as well as seeing exactly what's inside.

DIY Electrical Kitchen Range Hood Removal

Get rid of that old outdated oven range hood. See the steps on how to do it by watching my DIY Electrical Kitchen Range Hood Removal tutorial. The old oven range hood was a Nutone brand oven range hood. It really needed to be upgraded. Removing the old one and installing the new one was a lot easier than I would have thought. This style is not vented. Meaning, there is no sheet metal ducting going to the outside of the house. This style of range hood just blows it back into the kitchen. Some models have filters on them.

The first step is to shut the power off at the breaker. Ensure the power is off with a good voltage tester as well. After you've verified that the power is off to the range hood, it's time to unscrew the lightbulb that in there and bust out your cordless drill to unscrew the electrical box screw to expose wiring. Couldn't hurt to verify again that the power is off just before touching any wires. Disconnect any the wires coming from the main power. Now unscrew the securing screws from the bottom of the overhead cabinets. Take note of the wiring and colors of wires. Most of them will be white to white, black to black, and then the ground. Now it's time to install the new one.

How to install window screens on house windows

Step by step tutorial in the basics of installing a window screen. The side with the thin metal springy clips attached to it goes in first. The plastic tabs go inward as it makes it ever so slightly tougher to remove from the outside. The trick to getting all four corners inserted is to get three corners in first leaving one slightly out, then the fourth and final corner will barely slip in. In this example I put the right two corners in first because they had the metal spring tabs on them, followed by the upper left corner, then finally the bottom left corner.

Hotpoint Brand Oven Light Bulb Installation

DIY "How to" Hotpoint Brand Oven Light Bulb Installation Tutorial Instructional Demonstration. If you know how to do this then its very easy, but for those of us who don't, well...it can take a minute or two to figure out. If you watch this video, I will show you exactly how to replace the bulb in your Hotpoint Brand Oven. Many people just leave the light bulb in the burned out state for the life of the oven. I couldn't imagine not being able to see what's cooking or what it's looking like.
Many people, like myself are procrastinators. "Well the oven light is out" is what you may tell yourself. It's tough to get in there and get after it as it's one of those things that you can make do without. That being said, it's much nicer to have a working oven light than not. So if you can find the gumption to change out the light bulb, pop open the oven door and get after it. The first thing you want to do is take the securing wire and push or pull it off to the side. This is your first access point to getting this done. Be careful not to drop the glass that goes over it as you do. You can do this all with one hand no problem. So what you want to do is move the wire over while keeping some pressure on the glass and once the wire is pushed over, than sort of captivate and capture the glass. This will allow you to gain access to the light bulb. You will need a headlamp or flashlight for this job. Now take the existing light bulb and unscrew it. Now take your new one and screw it in.

How to Unclog a Bathroom Sink and How to Remove Sink Drain Stopper

n this video I discuss and demonstrate a method of unclogging your backed up bathroom sink. I start with the least invasive and try to unclog the bathroom sink by using a pair of hemostats to fish out any debris around the drain as this is sometimes the only fix you need to do. This was not the case in this instance of this plugged up drain. The sink stopper needed to come out. This means the up and down mechanism must me disassembled. This is done by going underneath the sink and unthreading the fitting that secures the up and down joint. Once unthreaded it can be pulled out. Now there is a hole in the pipe so if you run your water anymore it will run out the hole all over the place. Now you can remove the stopper from up above. In this instance there was some debris down inside the drain that needed to fished out. After removing all the debris that was reachable I reassembled the parts. The sink was still not unclogged though so I had to disassemble again. I decided to give it the water pressure treatment with the garden hose as I've had many successes in the past using this same method. Once I flushed whatever was plugging it down the drain with the hose pressure, I reassembled all the parts. What you want is a whirlpool or eddy look of the water as it goes down the drain. If it bubbles or gurgles a bit then it means something is impeding the water flow and it's still plugged.

These DEFIANT brand motion security lights are incredibly easy to install. They were around $50 each at Home Depot. They really made this install very simple and they are soooo bright that it hurts your eyes to look at them. I was very pleased with the ease of installation as well as results and functionality of them serving their purpose well. Be sure to turn off the power to the circuit before working on any of this. A voltage tester is always a good thing to have around. Reminder to check the batteries and on/off function of your voltage tester before using. After you get your old outdoor light off the wall and unwired, you'll need to also remove the threaded piece of flat bar/sheet metal bracket as the new LED motion sensor light has it's own unique piece with an inset threaded center oriface that needs to be installed. The same original two screws can typically be used if need be. If the old ones are worn than be sure to replace them. A lot of times they make these screws stainless steel whereas a lot of times in the past they were galvanized. Even though they are galvanized they still get corroded and sometimes very bad.

Once you get the bracket and back plastic holder plate installed be sure the wiring is run through hole. Now the next step is the one that I really like. There's only one screw for the ground wire but then there's some set screws for the black and white wires. GMC Sierra DIY Drive Shaft Removal Procedure. This whole video was made due to my truck being stuck in gear. Tried everything to get it unstuck but nothing worked. Had to get it out of the way so it was necessary to remove the drive shaft and pull it out of the way.

If this happens to you or you need to disconnect your drive shaft for other reasons, then this video is for you. It's actually very easy and can be done with simple hand tools. 

The first thing I did was jack up the track and place jack stands under it so I didn't get crushed. 

Secondly, I disconnected it at the rear differential joint. This was easily removed by loosening the 4 bolts shown using a 7/16" socket. 

Before completely removing them I made sure to tie up the drive shaft so it didn't smack me in the face. I used a flathead screwdriver to pop off the little clips around the universal joint and the retaining rings. Once these are removed the drive shaft comes right out. 

Pretty simple. I did end up buying a new universal joint as the old one was a little rusty. It was fairly inexpensive at auto zone.

I wish they would have made the handle on it a little fatter and the screwdriver a little longer as it's almost too tiny to handle. Regardless, the back plate has two set screws that secure the wires. Secure the wires and tighten the set screws and give the wires a tug to make sure they are secure. If the wires are loose this can be catastrophic due to an electrical fire to be sure you are mindful and focused on what you are doing.
Once the wires are secure and screwed in, now it's time to snap on and screw in the front main body section of the fixture.



 Aside from being a semi-serious creative outlet, this DIY Technician Youtube channel serves many purposes. It acts as somewhat of a historical log or portfolio of past work. This great little portable Electric "Chef" Deco Gear Brand Party Ice Maker has been amazingly easy to unbox and set up. The video shows how easy it is to unbox this unit and quickly make some ice. To get right down to it, it has been one of the easiest appliances to "assemble" and use that I've ever purchased. It does everything it said it would and actually efficiently and quickly makes ice. It always makes us, as consumers, happy when the contraption you buy does exactly what it says without fail or disappointment.
We use quite a bit of ice around our house for our drinks and our smoothies.
As far as simplicity and ease of use, I would recommend this electric ice maker to anyone who is in the market for one. I will update this description and post down the road to follow up how it stands the test of time. If it breaks tomorrow I'll update this at the beginning of the description. So if you are reading this and there is nothing saying differently at the very beginning of this description, than it has been running full time and still going.
One of the nice functions of this thing is that as the ice slightly melts after being made it slowly drips back down into the reservoir which makes it so all of your ice doesn't stick together. You always have the small or larger piece of ice that this machine makes.
In the video I demonstrate what the assembly guide recommends, and that's making sure that the reservoir plug on the bottom is plugged in. I really didn't need to tighten it up anymore as it was already tight. I guess there's a chance that is came loose during shipping, however, you'll know it right away it it's loose because you may get a little water out the bottom

Mongoose offers all kinds of bikes and has always been a reputable brand. Nowdays it's a balance of quality and cost. What do you want and how much are you willing to pay. Mongoose has some great bikes which are reasonable in price. They do offer some higher end bikes as well but along with those comes some extra cost. The same thing applies if you were going to go purchase a custom made bike that fits you perfectly from a custom bike shop, you are going to pay a lot more. Bikes like the one shown in the video feature a smooth and comfortable ride on almost any terrain, due to the Mongoose Impasse Dual Full Suspension Bike system. Overall, the price of a Mongoose mountain bike is affordable and makes it a worth your investment. Mongoose bikes are primarily fabricated and produced in Asia. Mostly in China as this keeps the overhead cost of making these bikes low. There are some manufacturing locations in the U.S. as well. If you purchased on of these from Wall-Mart, make sure you put it together yourself or at lease be sure to check every single tightness check on the bike as the store people putting these together are simply not doing it the correct way. Numerous times, both myself and others, have purchased a Way-Mart bike off the shelf only to have it dangerously come apart during the first ride or not stop correctly. Again, check and double check all connections BEFORE riding or letting your child ride one of these bikes.
Before you buy, be sure to:
Get the right size bike, choose a good wheel size, choose either a hard tail or double (full suspension) bike, don't worry too much about the weight, get quality suspension, and don't spend your whole bike budget on this.
You may be asking "Which brand do I choose?". To tell you the truth almost all of the major brands are now made in China. Huffy, Schwinn, Redline, Mongoose, etc are all now made in China so most of these have the same underlying level of quality (or lack of in some models) you can expect from a bike manufactured in China.

DIY IKEA "BROR" Shelves Unboxing and Assembly

These shelves were very easy to put together. The directions they came with were very clear. Although the shelves are IKEA brand, they are made in China. That being said, the material they use to make these are probably the absolute bare minimum thickness they could get away with without them falling over. The fact they were made in China keeps the price down, but it keeps the quality down as well. These shelves will serve their purpose but I would definately not introduce a huge load to the units especially if you only purchased one. The fact that I have three linked up here gives them a little stability. Speaking of stability, don't skip installing the "X" shape stiffeners on the backside of these. They do help (reduce)their potential to wobble quite a bit. One thing I did not to in the above video was secure it to the wall. Securing it to the wall will also add to their stability quite a bit as well as add a safety feature to keep them from falling forward, so I recommend doing this.

I buy from Ikea but here's why I despise going there.....

They got me. Along with millions of others. I'm no longer unique. No longer a hold out. No longer a spectator. I'm just like the rest. I ran right off the cliff with the rest of the herd. I suppose I would call it jealously more than anything. I'm guess I'm somewhat envious of Mr. IKEA who has figured out a way to repeatedly and painfully victimize me into wasting my precious Saturday mornings and hard earned money on obtaining new items in a profound fashion.

Once being bribed and convinced of the need to uproot myself from a once pleasant weekend morning, the journey starts way too early with a couple of pushes on the i(kea)-phone in order to take a taxi (via Grab app) to the IKEA penitentiary.

Let the root canal begin.

Once arriving at the ant colony, I'm forced by the crowd down a narrow habit trail as the entrance slowly fades away behind me. This is about the time the equivalent to water boarding begins.  My senses become overwhelmed at the various lights, signs, products, chatter, etc. Blood pressure increases and breathing becomes laborious as I watch my fellow prisoners, who appear to be oddly enjoying this experience, load up their wheeled loot holders. The following hour or two is just a blur and it all runs together like bad water color painting.

I now prepare myself for the displeasure of temporarily being held hostage for a few hours by mood altering display nooks littered with unavoidable reduced pricing signs that have a Pavlovian effect on a certain gender of shopper. The slow motion action of one by one removing dollar bills from my wallet starts to play over and over in my head as I start to grow weary, sauntering down the path of least resistance.

Naturally all of this activity makes you hungry. Mr. IKEA does not want hungry prisoners so he has constructed a way to extract more money from each unsuspecting inmate. After finding a temporary place to store your gatherings you must divide and conquer. One of you must go secure and eating location while the other waits in a long line for a 1/2 hour minimum to obtain the food. If you do not time this right you may find yourself with nowhere to eat as the other prisoners do not care to part with thier places at the tables. Seasoned inmates know the routine. The ratio of food sold vs. places to sit are highly offset. Mr. IKEA does not care if you have to stand and eat so as long as you get enough calories in to finish the march of shame up to the check out line.

The post-meal second round of pain begins. I start to sweat as I'm lead back into general population. It's an apprehensive aggravation type of sweat. After all, I'm spending MY time and MY money as the painfully obvious becomes inevitable. My shopping cart is getting fuller the farther I wade into the abyss of consumables. At this point I'm seemingly unable to escape this insanity. This explains why there are no windows from which to make a freedom leap.

As I continue to serve out my sentence for hours while being inundated by "on sale" signs and dimmed lighting displays that tap into one's emotional side, I now start to sympathize with my captor. It is now that I get the pleasure of waiting in a long line to exchange my hard earned cash for items in my cart.

I take a sigh of relief as I feel like the finish line is within reach. The light at the end of the tunnel is growing larger.

In hindsight, I wish my future self could time travel back to my current self, tap me on the shoulder and say, "Go to Starbucks instead", or "say you have to work", or "pretend your wallet was stolen yesterday", then miraculously find it Monday morning, or fake an injury.

After waiting in what seems to be the 10th line of the day, an Aussie mate must have seen the steam leaving my now crimson colored face, when he taps me on the shoulder and says, "Hey mate, they serve cold beer right over there".

DIY Dismantled Dell PC Personal Computer Fan Runs Off Headlamp Battery Pack

There is something satisfying about tearing apart a computer and pulling parts out that may have another use. This older dell computer was just asking to be stripped down. It had 3 fans in it and I happened to have a headlamp around. It was a perfect fit for messing around. The fan will run off 3 AA batteries. I don't endorse or recommend Dell. I've had nothing but bad luck with them and they are cheaply Made in China. Fun to tear apart though. I've displayed a few headlamps down below. Every good DIY technician needs a few headlamps around. You can never have too many headlamps on hand. If you really do need to buy a Dell, I recommend that you don't, there IS a link down below to purchase one.

DIY Pallet Project: How to make a Pallet Playhouse

Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle! Upcycling materials for useful projects is most fulfilling. In this case the ground work foundation was laid with old pallets and the 2 X4's were pulled from an old building that was torn down. The tarpaper and shingles were left over from when I put a new roof on my house. Pallets are easy to come by and pull apart. I was actually able to obtain a bunch of nails when I  pulled them apart as well. A couple of them I had to straighten with my hammer on a flat surface.

Sorry for the horrific music. I was messing around on my acoustic and seemed like a good idea at the time to use it as a soundtrack. Most pallet projects are made to look a little rough so you can make most of them with standard electric and hand tools.

This playhouse was a joy to build. It got a lot of use by mine and the neighborhood kids. Once they grew out of it, it became a chicken coup that held numerous chickens that layed us many many fresh eggs. I even ended up making some egg laying boxes out of pallets for the chickens.

Once the chickens were gone it became a lawn and garden shed where I stored all my oils, gas, paint, tools, yard tools, etc. If you like pallet projects check out my youtube channel as I have a ton of DIY pallet projects.

What’s Inside Amazon's Frozen "Xice" Ice Gel Packs? Thawed and Unthawed ...

This was a fun experiment to see what was inside of these ice packets that amazon sends with their food deliveries. The gooey gel inside is very inert, non-flammable, and non-glow-in-the-dark. It was fun to cut it open in both the thawed form and frozen form just to satisfy my curiosity. This would probably make some good fake halloween blood and guts if you dyed it red. Maybe I'll try that on the next one during halloween season. The Nice itself seems to be very effective and stay frozen keeping your food cold for a long time. I like to keep them in the freezer and at least get another couple uses out of them rather than immediately discard them, just seems to be too much of a waste. Thanks for checking out my DIY blog here. Well the first thing you have to do is figure out how to get the the mower safely off the ground without having it fall on you. The best way is to use a lift of some kind but definitely if nothing else, use some jack stands for safety. Once off the ground you'll need two wrenches so you can apply counter torque to the bolt and nut holding the blade on.
Loosen the long bolt and nut that holds it in place and this will allow the blade to come free. Once you get the blade off, secure it to a saw horse and bust out your grinder. Every good DIY technician has a hand held grinder. Then put your handiwork to the test and hone a new edge on that mower blade.

After you sharpen your blade, reinstall it, and get cut your lawn for the first time, you will be so happy as it's just like cutting the grass with a brand new mower. You will also take extra precautions not to hit rocks, dirt, sticks, plastic bottles, kids toys, and baseballs just to see what they look like chopped up.

If you are tired of pushing a mower around the yard, save yourself a bunch of time and have a little fun by buying one of these mowers below on amazon. Or hell, upgrade to a new one.

How to DIY Fence Post Replacement Repair 4 X 4 X 8 Cedar Treated

Sometimes you may have to replace one of your fence posts that are in line with your fence run. This can pose a little bit of a problem if the post was cemented in the ground. You'll need to remove this on order to start with a fresh hole in the ground to place the new treated 4 X 4 post. I recommend digging the existing cement post cement "block" in the ground as much as possible then pull it out using mechanical means. I decided to use a truck and chain to pull it out. This can be very dangerous so use extreme caution if choosing to do this. If you dig it out enough so that it wiggles and rocks a little so you know it's loose, then it's safe to say it's ready to be yanked out.

How to Install an Automatic Ice Maker

This was a really easy installation. Anyone can do this. This installation assumes a water line has already been run. So you must shut off and  connect the water line as shown in the video to the connection on the bottom of the refrigerator in the back using teflon tape for the connection to prevent leakage. Create room in the freezer for your ice maker then pop the plastic cap over the wire connection. Remove the caps inside the freezer for mounting the ice maker. Screw in the mounting screws to the designated holes. Connect the wire connection from the ice maker to the freezer. Hang the ice maker on the mounting screws then finish screwing them all the way in securing the ice maker. Don't screw them in too hard b/c the plastic could break but just tight enough to keep it snug. Plug fridge back in and turn on the water. Works like a charm.
